Jedes Jahr im Februar/ März gibt es "girl scout cookies" zu kaufen. Die girl scouts sind eine Organisation speziell für Mädchen, die in 1912 gegründet wurde. (Man kann ihren Name auch mit Pfadfinderinnen übersetzen.) Mehr Infos findet ihr hier. Die Kekse werden nur im Februar und März und nur von den Mädchen direkt an Ständen im Supermarkt oder einem Einkaufszentrum für $3.50 verkauft. Die Erlöse kommen direkt der Gruppe vor Ort zu Gute und die Leute lieben die Kekse! Mein Favorit sind die Samoas: ein runder Keks, mit einem Loch in der Mitte, umhüllt von Karamel, gerösteten Kokosraspeln und Schokoladenboden. mhmhmhm(Tut, mir leid, aber die Links sind heute alle nur in Englisch.)

oh wow, we were just talking the other night how we miss Girl Scout cookies! Thin mints are THE BEST! esp. if you keep them in the freezer and enjoy them in the heat of the summer...or Edy's makes a great Thin Mint special edition ice cream too...
mmhh, It's hard to confess in this "mint-fanatic-country"- but I don't like mint at all....
I always thought it would be cool to make thin mint ice cream and someone has finally done it... :)
I am not a huge mint fan either... thin mints are the exception...
