and did you read that Brigitte has decided to go model-free as of 2010 and just use 'real people' for their shoots? I think that's VERY cool. Of course, they're not requiring this of advertisers and there's tons of skinny regular women in Germany anyhow, but still, I think it's a GREAT thing and hope other media outlets will one day follow in suit!

oh, and they're paying the "real people" as much as they previously paid models, so it's not a financial thing. (at least in that way)
